CBD is a compound that is derived from the hemp plant. These compounds that come from the hemp plant are commonly referred to as cannabinoids. Therefore, CBD is a cannabinoid. Similar to the word ‘cannabinoid’, the full name for CBD is cannabidiol. Cannabidiol, or rather CBD, is an alternative type of medicine to traditional medicinal drugs. Many people favour the option of CBD and CBD containing products because of its natural properties. The use of a product or products labelled as natural could be considered appealing to many various consumers. This is not the only reason people would tend to reach for this option...
Even as a natural product CBD is able to create some kind of sense of relief from many problems stemming from some chronic pain and/or inflammation. These are very real issues that a lot of people suffer with and need a way to fix, and products containing the CBD compound could be just the solution they are looking for!

How Does CBD Work and Help People?
The way CBD is able to help people so effectively is as follows. In the human body, there are many different kinds of receptors. Two receptors are specifically targeted at being able to be used along with natural cannabinoids. Yes, the human body creates its own natural cannabinoids. The two receptors that are made for these cannabinoids are called B1 and B2. The receptor B1 is for the cannabinoid compound that goes by the abbreviation THC. The other receptor, B1, used to be thought of dealing with the compound CBD. This Is because the receptor B1 deals with problems of pain and inflammation and CBD combats problems of pain and inflammation. However, this is not actually the true case.

The CBD compound actually influences the body in a way to make the body’s natural cannabinoids more active so they will, in turn, attach themselves to the B1 receptors across the human bodily system. No matter how it works, the CBD compound is what helps people with their issues. These issues can range from anxiety to psychosis, to seizures or epilepsy, and to a whole host of other problems as well. The main ways in general that CBD and CBD products are a great help to the lives of various people is by helping them with their problems of pain and inflammation. This is in order for they themselves to live a better life!

CBD Vs THC:
Now it has been established exactly what CBD is. However, there is a close brother to CBD that needs to be discussed. This is namely – THC. Why is it a topic of discussion? Just as the CBD compound is derived from the hemp plant, as established previously, the THC compound is derivative of the hemp plant as well. They do, however, differ in a few major ways. These compounds may come from the same plant and place but they are actually not the same at all. The CBD compound and the THC compound are used for very different things targeting very different areas of the human bodily system. That means that the effect of these two compounds on the human body and how they interact with it is also very different from each other.

Now, why choose one over the other? How really are they different? To someone very new to this topic and area of study, these might be questions they would ask themselves. And, to be fair, they are quite relevant questions. These questions actually do, in fact, have a lot of bearings. They are questions that deserve to be answered. Well, it really is quite the simple question and fortunately, it also has quite the simplest answer. The most noticeable difference between the two natural remedies would be for their psychoactive (or non-psychoactive) properties.

The THC compound is the cannabinoid that acts as a psychoactive. The user of a product containing THC would notice some kind of mind altering effects. However, THC is still favored among some people for some of the healing properties it can bring to people suffering some issues of their own. These would include people suffering some any type of problems with memories, pain, mood and emotions, movement and coordination, etc. Therefore, if someone was experiencing problems in any of these areas than a product containing the THC compound could possibly be a viable choice for them and their life.

The compound CBD is a little different than the THC compound. The most noticeable difference, or rather unnoticeable difference, would have to be the fact that products including this compound are actually non-psychoactive. This means there aren’t any mind altering effect that will take place through the use of products including this compound. The CBD compound targets different areas than THC. A person might possibly consider turning to the option of CBD if they are having issues some chronic pain or a type of inflammation. In this case, products that have the CBD compound in them could really improve a person’s life.
